Amy

My name is Amy.

Growing up I was never really introduced to God. I never knew that there was always someone I could turn to for anything and everything. I know that now, and that is an awesome feeling.

amy.jpgFor the past couple of years I have been stuck in the darkest, ugliest lifestyle. A life of rejecting my family, lying, stealing, cheating, doing drugs and jail. I was going nowhere but down, real fast.

I didn’t care about anyone or anything, especially myself.

I had a choice to make. Either go to prison, or give the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission a chance. Making the right choice to give myself a chance has changed my life.

Being able to learn and grow in God’s Word and His will is astonishing to me every day. I am able to give back now.

Never before have I had this kind of peace and joy in my heart and in my life. With the help of the RSGM I am able to change my life and become a new person.

I am able to shine and I am able to smile again.

The feeling of changing my life and knowing I have an opportunity to be successful is an unexplainable happiness. I finally feel a true fulfillment in my life beginning.

I want to thank all of you who support the Gospel Mission for giving me this opportunity. We’ve never met, but I will never forget you.
