Vanessa

vanessa.jpgMy name is Vanessa.

I’m 21 years old. I was an IV drug user since I was 17 until September 2007.

I came to the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission after turning myself into drug court. The judge gave me two options: jail time or time at the Mission.

It didn’t take me long to make my decision.

Before I came here, I was hopeless and unhappy. I hated my life and what I was doing. I wanted to change but I just couldn’t stop getting high. I had been through treatment three times before and I thought there was no way out.

I would lie, cheat and steal because I was high or wanted to get high. Meth was all that mattered.

I was miserable.

Now, I have a purpose. I have a future. I have a life.

I am doing what God wants me to do and I’ve never felt so happy and so free in my life!

I have a real relationship with my family – the family I put through hell the past five years. They see God working in my life. They see that miracles do happen!

The Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission has given me so much because of donations made to them by people like you. I just want to thank all of the donors for all of their contributions to the Mission.

You have given me hope and saved me from my addiction as well as prison. I know God loves me and that He has a plan for my life.

God bless you all!
