Rebeckah Wallace
What do you do at the Mission?
I am in charge of all donation pickups and the dispatching of the vehicles in our fleet.
Tell us about yourself
I have an awesome relationship with the Lord. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do and as luck would have it I’m really happy. Some of the staff say that I’m like a squirrel chasing an acorn (like in the movie Ice Age) because at times my focus is a little off. Family is very important to me and I try to treat others as Jesus would.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
Since it seems to others that I am often chasing acorns, I think people are surprised by a lot of things about me.
What’s the most influential book you’ve read besides the Bible?
Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson
Favorite TV show or movie?
The Simpsons
How did you end up at the Mission?
I was Court ordered and by the grace of God the staff saw potential in me.
What’s the best criticism you ever received?
“Get over yourself” & “It’s not all about you”
How did you come to know Christ?
I was raised as a Christian, but truly learned the meaning of being one when I got here.
What hobbies do you have?
I like to fish, play video games (Rock Band – I’m the drummer), and eat (a lot!).
Biggest fear?
Not seeing my dad in heaven.
What do like most about being part of the Mission team?
I love being here to help those who come in the same way I did. I pray that I can impact someone the way I was/am impacted by God and the staff here. They are my family now and like I said family is very important to me.
What food never touches your lips?
Sushi
Favorite memory at the Mission?
Graduating, then being able to watch others graduate.
Morning or evening person?
Depends on the day/night.
Why the Gospel Mission?
It really and truly changes lives
