As the Administrative Assistant I work closely with the Director of Development, as well as maintaining client files and class schedules, signing up volunteers for events and helping with mailings.

Tell us about yourself
I’m 44 years old and have 2 teenage children, Faith & Jimmy. I love the Lord and it delights my soul when I help people.

What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
I’ve always thought it was my age, but now I think I’m catching up to it.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read besides the Bible?
Find and Use Your Inner Power by Emmet Fox.

Favorite TV show or movie?
Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich.

How did you end up at the Mission?
I finally asked God to direct me in my job search, to place me where He wanted me.

What’s the best criticism you ever received?
I analyze too much.

How did you come to know Christ?
I’ve always believed in God, but it wasn’t until He relieved me of an addiction that I started the journey of a personal relationship with Christ.

What hobbies do you have?
Indy car racing; (the small ones.)

Biggest fear?
Public speaking.

What do like most about being part of the Mission team?
Although we all have different talents, all of our hearts are united with loving the Lord and a desire to help the suffering.

What food never touches your lips?
Tuna and macaroni & cheese

Favorite memory at the Mission?
To be a part of team that helps people through life change.

Morning or evening person?
I’m more of an evening person than the morning.

Why the Gospel Mission?
At first I believed this was the place God guided me to. Now it’s so much more. We really are family. Brother and Sisters in Christ who try to be hands and feet for God.
