Todd Smith
What do you do at the Mission?
Everything that’s asked of me.
Tell us about yourself
Not really enough space for all that, but I’d be more than happy to tell you about myself face to face.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
That I was a meth dealer.
What’s the most influential book you’ve read besides the Bible?
Experiencing God.
Favorite TV show or movie?
Pirates of the Caribbean.
How did you end up at the Mission?
Ask the Judge. He probably has a better perspective on the true reasons.
What’s the best criticism you ever received?
Get over it!
How did you come to know Christ?
I guess I just started looking for the little things that prove Him, and then He restored things in my life that I thought couldn’t be restored and I was hooked.
What hobbies do you have?
Reading, watching movies, snowboarding and losing to my kids at video games.
Biggest fear?
Amputation. I’m with Kevin Costner on that one. (From Rick: We think it’s a “Dances with Wolves” reference, but we have no idea what in the world he’s talking about!).
What do like most about being part of the Mission team?
The fact that it’s more like a family than a job.
What food never touches your lips?
I’ll try anything once.
Favorite memory at the Mission?
When we received the capability to provide services for women. The opening of Prayer House.
Morning or evening person?
Morning.
Why the Gospel Mission?
It’s provided the most joy I’ve had in my life.
