Hunger

The Gospel Mission annually prepares and provides more than 200,000 free meals to the homeless and needy across Northern Nevada.

Our staff serves up to 650 hot meals each day, with special events such as Thanksgiving and Christmas adding thousands of more meals for men, women and children.

In addition to their hard work, the Mission also provides countless meals throughout the year to needy families across Northern Nevada. We work closely with churches and several schools to supply food from our community pantry to those who are in need.

Churches and school social workers inform us of the need, then we package perishable foods such as milk and eggs along with non-perishable items. The workers pick up the food from our food distribution center and take it to the family for use.

During the holidays, we will serve more than 20,000 men, women and children through a variety of special meals and events.
